Kick Up A Storm for Student Success!

Portland Community College Foundation's seventh annual A Evening for Opportunity—and help aspiring college students get the chance they need to be tomorrow’s leaders, thinkers, dreamers and makers.

In Oregon we are no strangers to sparkling rain showers, blustery gusts and glorious thunderhead clouds….but when those elements combine, the resulting storm can truly be amazing! So too are the driving forces for change in our community—it’s when we come together as people who care about making a difference for the next generation of Oregonians, that we can really create a powerful force for change.

About the Gala
The PCC Foundation’s An Evening for Opportunity is the premier fundraising event for Oregon’s largest institution of higher education. Since its inception in 2012, An Evening for Opportunity has raised more than $2.2 million to help Portland Community College students achieve their dreams of entering our region’s workforce with a family-wage job and becoming contributors to a vibrant community.

Please join us on Saturday, May 19 for a storm-themed soiree! Whether you are more lightning than fog, sleet or thunder, we need YOUR special element to kick up a storm for student success!  Gather with us for a spectacular event “in the clouds” and be energized by inspiring student stories, community speakers, stormy cocktails, dinner and dancing, and the opportunity to make a profound and lasting change in the weather for students who need it most.

Why support the Gala?
PCC is an economic engine for the state and a pathway to a better future for the nearly 80,000 students we serve. We provide Oregon businesses with a competitive advantage by offering a diverse, trained and skilled workforce. PCC plays a critical role in strengthening our region through the development of productive people and innovative ideas. Together, we are creating a stronger community while supporting our hard-working and talented students.

Your support at the PCC gala makes a difference. By creating scholarships and strengthening academic support programs at PCC, you are giving students the tools they need to succeed.
