UCP Oregon Freinds Breakfast

Tuesday, May 19, 2020 (8:00 AM - 10:00 AM) (PDT)

Description

Each spring UCP invites guests from the community to join us for breakfast at the Multnomah Athletic Club. This breakfast brings together long-time supporters, business leaders, and those who want to learn about our valued service providing for people with disabilities for 65 years here in Portland.

This year we celebrate The Power of Partnerships - the community of support that comes together to support a person with an intellectual and developmental disability. Though the stories of those we serve, we reveal the often extraordinary collaboration between organizations, family members, caregivers, and other resources needed to meet daily needs and push beyond to thrive.

Our keynote, Sharon Lewis, was appointed by the Obama administration to served in leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Now back in Oregon, she is a Principle at Health Management Associates. She works with federal partners, states, providers and consumer advocates to advance opportunities for people with disabilities to fully participate in all aspects of community, across the lifespan.

Sharon is a busy mom of three wonderful daughters, including one with developmental disabilities currently receiving services from UCP Oregon?s Employment Solutions team.
