The entry is lively and bright, showcasing the natural acidity of the Battle Creek Vineyard, complemented by concentrated fruit. The mid-palate offers flavors of Bing cherry, and ripe raspberry, finishing with soft, well integrated tannins with a hint of pomegranate.

Tarragon and pink peppercorn aromatics combine with subtle notes Dutch pipe tobacco and blood orange. The palate is rich with vanilla, black raspberry and fresh fig while a bright and driving acidity is complemented by long, velvety tannins. Pair with seared duck breast with savory leek and ricotta bread pudding.

2015 Yamhela Single Vineyard Pinot Noir – 90 Points, Wine Enthusiast

The aromatics of this wine, which are typical of the site and of the specific blocks selected for this blend, are of cherry cola, star anise, dried cherries and baking spices. The entry is round and juicy, yet bright and delicate and delivers flavors of red currants, pomegranate and pie cherries which give way to a finish of jasmine, cedar and structured tannins. This wine will continue to develop with bottle aging for at least 10-15 years.
