About Sacha Basho

Sacha loves solving puzzles, challenging the norms and creating “swing” with teams.  She fell into telecommunications and transformed the opportunity into a career of building game changing sales teams/channels across all market segments (consumer, enterprise, SLED & federal).  Her commitment to “people centric” leadership proved you could achieve record breaking results in both revenue and retention with organizations such as T-Mobile and Integra Telecom/Electric Lightwave.

Currently, she is building a global partner program for RiskSense, a transformative cyber risk management firm.  She brings a  non-technical approach to a critical topic, cyber security/cyber risk, where everyone plays a part in the solution.  Her personal passions include inspiring, connecting and enabling talented individuals. She is an alumni of Santa Clara University (Finance), Oregon Leadership Institute, Situational Leadership Academy & A Seat at The Table (Using It).

About Katherine Cowan
Katherine Cowan is the General Counsel and corporate Secretary of Hillsboro, based Fortior Solutions (formerly named SureID, Inc.), an industry leader in providing high-assurance identity solutions to DoD, DHS, nuclear and other critical infrastructure.  Fortior Solutions’ patented identity solutions combine registration, identity proofing, background screening, cryptographic-based credentialing, identity management and electronic validation.

Ms. Cowan manages the company’s legal and government affairs and serves as corporate Secretary.  Ms. Cowan’s in-house law practice covers a broad cross-section of legal areas, including  data privacy and cybersecurity.  She has served on her company’s internal Cybersecurity Committee and is manager of the company’s Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan.  Ms. Cowan is a member of the Oregon Bar Association, as well as the State Bar of California (inactive); the American Bar Association, Public Contracts Law Section, Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Data Protection Committee; ABA Cyberspace Law Committee; Women in Homeland Security; and the International Association of Privacy Professionals, through which she is a Certified Information Privacy Professional-U.S.  Ms. Cowan has served on the Board of the Portland Citizens Crime Commission, including its Business Security Exchange.  Ms. Cowan is a past Board member of the Pacific Northwest Defense Coalition, and currently serves on the Board of Dress for Success Oregon.

Ms. Cowan is a frequent speaker on the legal and regulatory aspects of data privacy and cybersecurity.  Engagements have included participating on a panel with the FBI and industry members addressing “Combatting Cyber Threats to Business: Partnering with Law Enforcement”, and presenting a training on “on-the-job cybersecurity” to the Professional Women’s Group of Dress for Success Oregon.

Ms. Cowan earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego and her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.  Prior to joining Fortior Solutions, Ms. Cowan practiced litigation for nine years in San Francisco, where she represented Fortune 500 companies. She lives in Portland with her husband Don and is a Diamond member of  The Link For Women.

About Michelle  Salvado

Michelle Salvado is vice president, engineering for endpoint products at FireEye.  Michelle joined FireEye in September 2018 and oversees the execution and delivery of FireEye’s endpoint security products for corporate customers.

She has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry, having led both engineering and services organizations.  She has focused on Cyber Security for more than 6 years.

Before joining FireEye, she was senior director of education and enablement services for McAfee’s corporate and consumer products, responsible for educating and enabling customers, partners and services employees on the technical details needed to be successful.  She partnered across organizations to bring resources from professional services, engineering, support and sales together to enable customer adoption of their most strategic corporate products.  She also previously held engineering management roles and provided agile coaching to McAfee’s engineering organization.  Prior to McAfee she held leadership positions at NAVTEQ, Accenture and Unisys.

She holds a B.S. in computer science and a M.B.A. from West Chester University.
