We’re as passionate about getting you on your dream bike as we are about making the process smooth and enjoyable. Here’s how it works:
From the moment you consider ordering a Breadwinner, we’re here to help you make the right decisions and fuel your imagination. As you explore all the options, feel free to contact us with any questions—about our models, bike fit, paint or components. When you’re ready to place your order, we ask for a $500 deposit. Then we’ll move onto the next step.
We’ll help you hone in on your vision for your one-of-a-kind bicycle by learning about your bike fit, past bicycles and your riding style. We ask you to fill out a fit questionnaire, which sparks this conversation and dialogue. Once we’ve nailed down the design, we will happily help you choose components and paint to fit your budget and dreams.
Once you’ve confirmed the design and details, you’ll receive an invoice for the balance. Once we receive your payment, we order your parts. Then we channel the creative energy from the design phase to make the frame by hand in our workshop. We miter, weld, file and finish your frame to perfection. Then it’s ready for paint.
Once your bike has its fresh coat of paint, we meticulously assemble it in our shop using the right tools and techniques for parts we intimately understand. Properly assembling the bike is as important to us as the build. Our goal is to deliver you a dialed, finished bike. Then we carefully pack and ship the bike to your door. You’re also welcome to pick it up from us here in Portland. We’d love to take you on a ride, if we have the time!
Once you place your deposit, your new Breadwinner will be on your doorstep in 8 to 12 weeks.
